Into the Wild: Training with Chris Leiferman

Ever wondered where some of our professional triathletes like to spend their training days? American Pro Chris Leiferman takes you on a journey into the wild and wilderness of Colorado and share some of the picturesque beauty cycling and running through the Rocky Mountains has to offer.

Join him as he takes you on a journey behind the scenes during a recent family vacation with plenty of hills, rain storms and moose on show during the 8 days.
Chris’ cycle diary:

Day 1: Boulder to Grand lake—97miles and over 10,000 feet of climbing.

Day 3: Grand Lake to Twin Lakes—133miles with around 6000 feet of climbing.

Day 5: Twin Lakes to Crested Butte—100miles with about 6k of climbing.

Day 7: Crested Butte to somewhere between Lake City and Creede – 113miles with about 6k of climbing.

Last day from that campsite outside of Lake City to the top of Wolf Creek pass and back down to South Fork—87miles and 3500 feet of gain.
