LONDON, ENGLAND: The Professional Triathletes Organisation today announced that it will provide a professional prize purse for the TRADEINN International Triathlon – 140.6INN which will be the 2021 Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship to be held in Girona on May 30^th.

The PTO will provide an additional €12,000 to the existing prize purse of €30,000, along with media and marketing support to showcase the event and its athletes to the sporting public. PTO Professionals will also be able to earn points towards Collins Cup qualification in addition to possibly snagging a Captain’s Pick with a stand out performance.

The 3.8km sea swim will start and finish in Platja d´Aro followed by a 180km one lap bike with an elevation of 2100m and a 42.2 km run leg finishing with 4 laps along the Platja d´Aro promenade.

It is a tribute the commitment of FETRI that they are able to overcome and host an event in these difficult times and it is an honour to be  part of an event that not only puts on display the resilience of those committed to supporting our sport, but also gives our PTO Professionals in Europe the chance to race and earn points towards Collins Cup qualification”
