Weapon of Choice || Jan Frodeno

Jan Frodeno once again showcased to the world why he is the PTO World Ranked #1 man with a stunning performance to earn victory at CHALLENGEMIAMI®.

The German superstar was in imperious form at the Homestead-Miami Speedway earlier this month to claim a dominant victory.

He defeated PTO World Ranked #5 Lionel Sanders by more than two-and-a-half minutes while American Ben Kanute was a further minute back in third.

Second out of the water, just two seconds behind Kanute, it was the consistent display across all three disciplines which anchored Frodeno’s triumph.

He followed the second fastest swim with the third fastest bike and run splits. The result was a total demolition of a strong field.

Jan has made a habit of doing that. The multiple World Champion has won his last nine CHALLENGE, IRONMAN 70.3 and IRONMAN outings and has been described as ‘unbeatable’ by the likes of Sanders.

“After such a long time I just happy to go out and have a good race,” he shared in his post-race interview, adding later on social media, “I live for this”.

With the Collins Cup rescheduled for August in Šamorín, Jan has to be Team Europe’s ‘banker’ right now for a point at the landmark event.
