About

As the PTO scales its commercial division, we are seeking a Commercial Sales Manager to drive revenue growth for the newly launched Triathlon World Tour. This role is the engine of our commercial team, responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing high-value global partnerships that will redefine the sport.

This role reports directly to our CCO.

Key Role Responsibilities

End-to-End Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales lifecycle – from prospecting and outreach through to negotiation and deal closure
  • Drive new global partnership revenue across the Triathlon World Tour
  • Deliver against ambitious commercial targets

Partnership Development & Commercial Growth

  • Identify high-potential categories and target brands, including non-endemic partners
  • Build and close high-value, long-term global partnerships
  • Translate commercial opportunities into scalable revenue streams

Strategic Storytelling & Pitching

  • Develop compelling, insight-led sales narratives that bring the PTO vision to life
  • Create high-quality, bespoke proposals tailored to each partner
  • Leverage data, market insights, and audience understanding to support pitches

Agency & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with agency partners to maximise regional opportunities while protecting global partnership value
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Events, and Athlete Relations to deliver integrated commercial solutions
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite decision-makers

Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Maintain a strong and active pipeline, with clear visibility across all opportunities
  • Use CRM systems to track activity, forecast revenue, and report on performance
  • Continuously refine approach based on performance insights and market trends

Who We’re Looking For

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in sports, entertainment, or mass participation environments
  • Proven ability to originate, progress, and close new business opportunities
  • Relentless focus on revenue generation and delivering results
  • Able to think beyond standard packages – selling tailored, solution-led partnerships
  • Comfortable using data and insights to build a compelling commercial case
  • Understanding of sponsorship dynamics and partnership structures
  • Confident engaging and negotiating with senior stakeholders
  • Strong network or ability to quickly build one
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Willing to roll up sleeves and contribute beyond defined scope
  • Clear, confident communicator across written, verbal, and presentation formats
  • Able to translate vision into compelling, commercially viable narratives
