About

We’re looking for a proactive, creative and highly organised People & Culture Coordinator to join our fast-paced, global team.

This is a unique opportunity to get stuck into the People function of a growing global sports business and have a genuine impact on how we operate, support our people and build our culture. With teams across London, the US, Europe and beyond, and the recent acquisition of Challenge Family, you’ll play an important role in bringing our people together and creating a consistent, engaging employee experience wherever they work.

We’re looking for a real doer – someone who gets the fundamentals right but also brings fresh ideas and makes things happen. From supporting employees with everyday HR queries to owning our Culture Calendar, celebrating milestones, bringing EDGE to life and improving our workplace, there is real scope to put your stamp on the PTO.

Reporting to the People Partner, this role is based at our London HQ.

Key Role Responsibilities

People Operations & Employee Support
  • Own day-to-day People administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, employee changes, probation tracking, benefits and offboarding.
  • Maintain our People Google Drives, ensuring employee files, contracts, templates and key documentation are accurate, organised and accessible.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and HRIS records, including Sage, ensuring changes and documentation are recorded correctly and on time.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, and playbooks for onboarding, offboarding, and systems admin current as processes evolve, so nothing lives only in your head.
  • Coordinate onboarding and ensure every new joiner receives a consistent, engaging introduction to the PTO, regardless of location.
  • Coordinate our established feedback framework, including probation reviews, 360s, employee surveys and review cycles, ensuring timelines and processes are followed and actions are completed.
  • Support employee surveys through Sage and the administration of wider People initiatives under the direction of the People Partner.
  • Be an approachable first point of contact for everyday People queries and ensure the operational basics happen when they should.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, consistently identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and operate more efficiently.
Culture & Employee Experience
  • Own and deliver PTO’s Culture Calendar, proactively organising socials, team activities, celebrations and engagement initiatives throughout the year.
  • Champion our EDGE values, developing creative and practical ways to embed them into everyday working life.
  • Lead employee recognition initiatives, including birthdays, work anniversaries, anniversary hoodies, milestones and team achievements.
  • Help bring together our growing global workforce, including remote colleagues and the newly acquired Challenge Family team, creating opportunities for connection, collaboration and a shared PTO culture.
  • Support employee engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives, ensuring our people feel valued, included and connected wherever they’re based.
Workplace & Office Experience
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day London office experience, creating a welcoming, organised and engaging environment where people enjoy working, while finding creative ways to involve and connect our remote and international colleagues.
  • Drive innovative, cost-effective initiatives to enhance office culture, remaining mindful of budget constraints and existing employee workloads.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 years’ experience in HR, People Operations, workplace experience or a similar role, with a genuine interest in developing a career in People & Culture.
  • Naturally personable, approachable and confident building relationships with employees and managers across different teams, locations and cultures.
  • A proactive, creative doer who enjoys bringing ideas to life, takes initiative and gets things done without waiting for direction.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information sensitively.
  • Passionate about workplace culture, employee engagement and creating an environment where people feel valued and connected.
  • Curious about HR, employee development and People Partnering, with a willingness to learn and take on greater responsibility.
  • Comfortable with a “no job is too small” mentality, from supporting employees with HR queries to organising a team celebration or improving an internal process.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to change the sport of triathlon and build something you can be really proud of.
  • Flat working environment and a get-things-done company culture.
  • Private health insurance through Vitality, including wellness benefits and more.
  • 25 days holiday + Christmas break.
  • Flexible Working Structure.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Company share option scheme to drive ownership ability and allow financial participation in company success.
  • Complimentary / discounted T100 event entries for employees, friends and family.
  • Free snacks, drinks, gym classes, open water swim credits and more.

The PTO Values: The EDGE we seek

  • Entrepreneur at Heart: A ‘Doer’ who thinks and acts like a founder, driving impact and pushing boundaries to achieve key results. You like getting ‘stuck in’ and making sure that great ideas come to life and deliver real change.
  • Dynamic Innovator: An adaptable individual who thrives in fast paced environments, seeking new opportunities to drive progress.
  • Growth Mindset: Embraces challenges as opportunities, bouncing back stronger from every setback. There is nothing you can’t do if you apply yourself fully.
  • Equality of voice: A. Team. Player. Able to inspire and motivate others, bringing energy, innovation, and a can-do attitude to our startup environment.

Inclusive Employer

Here at PTO we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. We believe that diversity of thought, background, and experience, enhances creativity, innovation, and a more dynamic working environment that delivers better results.

We’re an equal opportunities employer and positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, or belief. We are committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and fostering an inclusive culture where all employees are respected and valued.

Join our team at PTO, where your unique perspectives and contributions will be celebrated, and your career can thrive in an inclusive and supportive environment. We look forward to welcoming you to our dynamic team.
