French Riviera T100 Triathlon Amateur Events Go On General Sale

French Riviera T100 Triathlon

London, UK: The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has announced that places went on general sale today for the amateur triathlon events at its new French Riviera T100 Triathlon on 27-29 June.

Billed as a ‘French festival of multisport’ when the new T100 leg was announced in September last year, the weekend is built around two professional T100 races over the 100km distance (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) taking place on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June, as well as a 100km, an Olympic and Super Sprint distance triathlons for amateurs, which are all now open for sign up here.

The weekend will also feature an open water swim, youth events and a fun run – which will go on sale in due course – and a 3-day outdoor expo festival.

Hosted on the beautiful Esterel Cote d’Azur, the idyllic port towns of Frejus and Saint-Raphaël will be the hub for the new French Riviera T100 Triathlon, when the world’s best triathletes visit later this year.

Two of the star attractions will be the French duo of Léo Bergère and Vincent Luis, who were announced as Hot Shots for the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour. Bergère continues to live and work locally, training at the Centre of Resources, Expertise and Sports Performance in Saint-Raphaël.

“I know first-hand what a great venue this will be for the professional T100 races as well as all the amateur events. The swim, bike and run courses will be both stunning and challenging,” said Bergère, the World Triathlon Championship Series winner in 2022 and Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medallist.

“There’s a very strong endurance sports community in the area, so the atmosphere will be both very welcoming and encouraging for everyone who attends. So I encourage everyone to either sign up for an event or come along and support.”

Vincent Luis, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Mixed Relay bronze medallist and two times World Triathlon Championship Series winner, added:

“The Esterel Cote d’Azur will offer a formidable location to host the inaugural French Riviera T100 Triathlon weekend. As well as being an iconic location, the fans there are some of the best in the world and will create an electric atmosphere.”

“Being able to offer a broad range of ancillary events as well as the two T100 professional races should make for a very special weekend,” said PTO CEO Sam Renouf. “So as well as coming along to cheer on the professionals on Friday and Saturday, I’d encourage anyone who’s not competed in the area before to sign up for one of the amateur events. We’re very grateful to all the local support we’ve received from across the Esterel Cote d’Azur and especially in the towns of Frejus and Saint-Raphaël.  Following the success of Paris 2024, with France winning multiple medals, the country is a powerhouse in the sport so we are thrilled to be bringing the T100 to France for the first time.”

The PTO has so far announced seven T100 events for 2025, including: Singapore on 5-6 April, which is selling fast; San Francisco on 31 May-1 June; London on 9-10 August, which is also going back on general sale today; Ibiza in September (dates TBA); Lake Las Vegas (dates TBA); and Dubai on 15-16 November.  For further details, visit: www.t100triathlon.com
