Australian superstar Sarah Crowley has made excellence the norm during her illustrious career in elite triathlon.

Currently sitting at #4 in the latest PTO World Rankings, she is a perennial long-distance powerhouse.

Sarah has twice taken bronze in the IRONMAN World Championship at Kona (2017 and 2019), won the ITU Long Distance Triathlon title in 2017 and has a string of other big-race wins to her name.

Some scintillating performances during the 2019 campaign in particular, earned her a mammoth 343.35-point haul in the PTO World Rankings.

Sarah, not surprisingly, went into the PTO 2020 Championship at CHALLENGEDAYTONA® in December as one of the favourites in a field of unprecedented depth.

She endured a disappointing day personally though, coming home in 24th place. Afterwards she illustrated her personal pain in a heartfelt Instagram post, but admitted there were plenty of positives to have come out of 2020.

“I’ve been pretty hard on myself after a pretty rough day at Challenge Daytona. However, there is a bigger picture that I need to keep in perspective.

“Principally, after the most disruptive year in our sport we rallied together as athletes and suited up for a world-class hit out. So, it was fantastic to be a part of such a groundbreaking new concept of racing from the @professionaltriathletesorg.”

With the 2021 Collins Cup now firmly on the horizon, Sarah will hope to clinch an automatic qualification spot to represent Team International at the landmark PTO event.
